fire and water

fire always goes up

water always goes down

sometimes they meet in the middle

and make rain

which the earth needs

to be green


perhaps the garden is what matters


and the air

makes all this possible


the fire and air

work together for

the earth and water

and thinking about all that

just leads to knot the way


not a natural act


nature is short for natural

and our nature

is what we are


sometimes what we feel

never what we think


which is still just escapism

and leads to nowhere

which ain't all that much fun
