picking

life will pick you when your ripe

and you won't get a vote

is my response to being picked

privacy

a desire

for personal isolation

which can be a valid situation

from time to time

but not as a life style

as has become so common for so many

sacred moments with my self

have experienced many sacred moments with my self

am pretty sure i am the luckiest guy in the world


so many i see

are trying to avoid their self

or maybe not really be who they are


have been  kind of confused by all that stuff

change

real change is not made to happen

real change has to be allowed to happen

which i ain't seeing much of

in our little world

being

for life to function naturally

we have to be our truth


not what we think

we want to be

or what we think

we should be


we have to be

our natural essential self


i have faced that situation

more than once in this current human experience

but not all that often

smart

i don't ever want to be smart

which is the quickest way

to be dumb

if you think you know

you probably don't

if you don't know

you probably do

but don't know you know

cause you don't know your self

times of our lives

the times of our lives
aren't so simple i'm told
one must be strong
learn how to be cold

control all your feelings
they're all wrong from the start
we have new ideas
pay no heed to your heart

you must learn how to lie
for we can't stand the truth
the child must be broken
and trained in his youth

so do what we say
for we do know best
don't think for yourself
be like all the rest

well i tried it out
and now let me tell you
that's all pretty stupid
i've seen more than a clue

the heart must be open
and truth where we stand
for life to be love
which brings peace to our land

all these conflicting ideas
and the will
to impose them on others
is a crime against life
which is what we all are
and the creatures
of the forest and the field
and the forest and the field
is what we are
and we are doing terrible things
to ourselves
by attaching ourselves
to some particular idea

awareness is not a product of thought

but ideas sure as hell are

ideas are stone cold killers

and misleading as hell

i didn't realize how fortunate i had been
as i got a little older

when is was going out in the world
i asked my father what to do
and his response to me was
i don't know what to tell you boy
you'll have to work that out for yourself
and i have as i can
and never asked that question of anyone again

fear

greedy selfish people

are always afraid and insecure

insecurity

insecure people

tend to become

control freaks

as is the nature

of that situation


and the epidemic

is spreading rapidly

envy

a state of self rejection

want

what ever we want

is what we are a slave to


want doesn't offer

much of a life experience


mix in a little fear and greed

and look at what we get

killing

more killing

will not make the world

a better place to be

in spite of

what so many

like to think


the conflicts

within

the individual humans

is the source

of the great conflicts

on our little planet


which we sure ain't serving

very well


mostly we just exploit it

and our many selves

truthfully

can i speak to anyone truthfully

even my self

especially my self


if i can't face my self

i will never be able to face you

never could understand why

anyone would want to be a dult


i'm just a 70 year old boy

being a man as i can

awareness

awareness is not a product of thought

awareness is a product of a quiet mind

that isn't seeking to get what it thinks it wants

or how to escape its current situation


and that security alert thing to the left

is about the main reason so many are lost

and wish to stay that way

ideas

ideas are bubbles blown in the ocean

life is the ocean

the human race

here among the human race
each could know his rightful place
if he would set all thought aside
and from the truth no longer hide

life does have its natural order
tho rarely seen within our border
with no respect for life as whole
greed and power the new goal

wipe out all that nature made
kill the life in field and glade
a new plan for life we cry
get on board or else you die

all the kindness of the heart
must be stifled if your smart
for a time it seemed so great
but things have changed it seems of late

chaos now does fill the land
truth can find now place to stand
most live in fear from day to day
the pills and booze push it away

order once again can be
but we must first set ourselves free
the spirit lives but is repressed
which is why we feel depressed

the heart must open to the light
this is how we know what's right
the soul of man must be set free
to live the truth as meant to be

the plan is not found in the head
or from all the books we've read
love and truth are of the now
and open heart will show us how

out of date

we all start becoming

out of date

on the day we are born

when actually that situation depends
