in our own way

the girl

the sacred trust

if you are a man or a woman

as is boy


the innocents are the only hope this world has


so it seems to me


those that claim to know

are getting us no where to be

courage

a false god

and worthy only of slaves

as we all are


brave is a word of the fearful


the friend knows nothing of courage

to be one

to be one with life

is to live without rejection


such is very scary for most

it seems to me

in our time


you and i are the same word

they just sound different

why do we drink

because we are alone

and still fear loneliness

if you only look at the mouth

you won't be able to see the face
