all we ever really are
so this situation seems to me
to try to catch life
was once a childhood dream
and one of my dumber moments
mostly any more
i just try to keep up with life
as i can under the current circumstances
humans are not very happy people in our time
we don't have much fun
we worry a lot
threats seem to be everywhere
insecurity is a harsh mistress
and life here has very little meaning
if the children are neglected and abused
as has become the custom in our time
