here inside

here inside a voice has spoken
from a heart i thought quite broken
seek not love outside yourself
it's not received from someone else

the source of love and life are one
though the spirit is all done
open up your heart to gladness
put and end to all this sadness

in our ideas we have lost
the greatest gift  -  beyond all cost
love's the gift of life you see
endless and of course it's free

one must open like a flower
to receive this mighty power
that holds the world and stars in place
soon to heal the human race

this is what the heart does say
i know it's true in every way
life is love and for us all
the time has come to heed its call
