one man

one man is short
and another one tall
to see them as two
has been our downfall

one spirit is all
my heart has been told
the voice was not soft
it was spoken quite bold

all men are brothers
i know that it's true
tho this is suspected
by only  a few

all are yourself
the same essence inside
but to hear it i know
just might hurt your pride

pride's just a shield
and it locks us away
in chains of restraint
that won't let us play

life must be free
to unfold as it would
all our thinking and planning
has led to no good

the spirit of life
is its own plan you see
it can't be improved
and it sets us all free

for love is the gift
that life shares with us all
there's no time like the present
to answer its call
