the end of war and violence

the end of war and violence will come

when humans quit taking part in war and violence


deer fight every year

but the creatures of the field

never started a war

or sold drugs to children

or all the other little nasties humans have come to be known for


we humans are the problem

and the only solution


the creatures of the field have not learned to hate

but some of their domesticated brethren

are learning about anger and insecurity

which it seems to me how we humans got there
