getting drunk with a friend

have only done that with a few friends

mostly i have gotten drunk with strangers


as i said we were drinking

and mumbling about serious things

or at least i was


and then i made a statement

which i didn't know at the time


what i said was

as near as i can recall


was that what we did

was what mattered


my friend then mumbled something

and his head bobbed around a bit


and then he said

its not what you do

its what you don't do


and he was right

if your from the pisces time


or headed in the direction


is usually consider pisces

i still drink some


perhaps where we are going

is where we come from


the escapists of our time

ain't much going to care for that situation
