when humans are taught to control their emotions

they become pressure cookers

and sometimes explode

and sometimes control freaks

seeking control or to be controlled


that hole situation is a dead end street from the start

and starting is usually much easier than stopping

the addiction to cruelty can become very powerful

to those who have been treated so cruelly


if we can't find another way to be

the path ahead ain't going to be pretty
