abuse

to abuse an other

is just another form of self abuse

that's the truth as i see it


kindness is often not possible in our time

but we don't have to be unkind


the desire to hurt others is a sickness

and pain is a symptom

inflicting pain a response


there is a cure for what ails us

but our brain thinking makes us blind

and dumb and ignorant and cruel


awareness is not a product of thought

and only idiots pursue ideas


the persuit of ideas is what got us here

some of them seemed so glorious

some not so much
