in what people believe

my personal interest

is in what we know

not what we think we know

if we all flew the white flag at once

and truly surrendered to life as a whole

and the conflict would end

everywhere we go

we take a little bit of where we go

a fairy tale i made up

a long time ago

i made up this fairy tale

don't remember why

or who it was for

but it goes like this


a long time ago

our hero was riding through the forest

on this great white stallion


suddenly he heard in the distance

"help me",  "help me, please help me"


after riding toward the sound for a while

he came across a vast oak tree

with a young girl standing on a branch

about ten feet off the ground


a large dog was barking aggressively

at the base of the tree


and the young girl cried out

oh thank you kind sir

you have come to rescue me


our hero looked at this situation for a few moments

and said "tell the dog to go away"

and rode away

anger

so many in our time

are experiencing anger


and blaming that situation

on others we don't even know

fear

until we can face our fear

we will be constantly

dominated by it


it is the clue

assumptions

a mental game

we humans have become very fond of

and a very dangerous game to play

with our self

even

even when the fire goes out

the essence remains

where we have been

it we can't face

where we have been

how can we ever know

who we are


if we are just primates

which is what we get to be

some of us

at this time

who are willing

justice

for most in this country

justice means punishment

and often death


seems a little odd to me

when so many here

claim to be followers of jesus

i still love life

in spite of all the crap i've had to face being here in this body

the game of life

the story of us all

predicting the future

most of those that seek

someone to predict the future

for them

are hoping to

avoid their future

learning

learning is the first step to living

but not the last step

love

the word modern humans use

for what they think they need

here i sit

here is sit  -  still out of work
am i ok  -  or just a jerk
only time will make it clear
the guiding light or clouds of fear

all must walk their path they say
must take each step through each new day
the heart of truth is surely led
but strange ideas fill the head

no one knows for sure i guess
sometimes more and sometimes less
still the game must be played out
we'll not turn back  -  the soul does shout

nothing past can draw my heart
life must have a brand new start
so here i am  -  depressed but eager
resources lean but not yet meager

knowing life does have its plan
in time to share with this mere man
as we once again take part
in what will be a brand new start

to see them as two

i know that it's true
tho this is suspected
by only a few

the spirit of life

and how we think


awareness is not a product of thought

and neither is life and being


we humans took to thinking

a long time ago

and the mess our little world is in

is the result of all our petty little ideas

want

the first step to living

is to give up wanting


wanting anyone

to be anything

is abusive behavior


wanting anything

from anyone

is a form of self abuse


the only way to live

is to let go of wanting

and be your self


am pretty sure the capitalists

and their advertisers

ain't going to care much for me

probably the dumbest word of all

and the most dangerous

blame

blaming others for your current situation

is just another way to sell your soul

opinions

to have opinions

is to place a great block of stone

around your neck with a chain

an old poem from a long time ago

praises sing and night bells ring

all around this precious thing

places and faces and midnight races

all the while the nomad braces

more and more the onslaught rages

in the wind all ripped out pages

find me now  -  oh lord of love

tho bled and fed on brutal pride

the hope that once so filled the heart

still lives  -  yet in the smallest part

tho battered  -  scarred and mortal weary

at dawn we stand to face the fury

no longer brave we could be called

but no  -  by god we shall not fall

to twisted minds that rule this land

with whip and chain in brutal hand

we will not yield the sacred trust

nor feed upon the moldy crust

which the beast does offer gladly

all inflamed and grinning madly

tho tattered rag  -  thy flag once proud

and bleeding feet  -  tho head un-bowed

we face the dawn with shining faces
of doubt and fear there are no traces

for in thy time each heart does know

as life moves on its sacred flow

the soul of man will seek thy light

and move beyond this endless night

the whisper that i dimly hear

does speak that time may yet be near

oh yes  -  the force does feel some stronger

the soul cries out  -  not too much longer

the love long sought by this small band

does in truth feel near at hand

the stirring in the heart grows stronger

raging pain i feel no longer

the mission tho still unfulfilled 

will be complete as thou has willed

and light yet fill the hardest heart

thy love shall reach the darkest part

in time the sorrows past will fade

and truth regain this world you made

for as the story does unfold

woke up this morning

when i woke up this morning

i remembered something

a dear friend told me

a long time ago


you can learn a lot more about people

when they don't get what they want

than when they do

a process of becoming

life is actually a natural process of becoming

but most humans have chosen be what they want to be

i guess cause they wanted to be something else

other than what they were born to be

and to change this little world into what they want it to be

and this little world is a real mess

which is the nicest way i can speak of our situation here today


to really live we need only be as life created us

and be willing to to be our self

and allow all others to do the same

which sure as hell ain't popular in our time

getting past where we are

the only way to get past where we are

is to accept where we are

and respond to this situation

as we can


if we can find any kindness

for our situation with our self

we will be kind to our situation


if we find hatefulness and rejection

for our self and our situations

that will be the outcome of our story

feelings

most people of our time

find it difficult to face and express

their true feeling

because they were forbidden

by their parents and family and friends

and perhaps against some law modern humans are so fond of

or the religious beliefs of their part of the world

which just leads to a lot of children growing up confused

if the child is not permitted to be itself

how will it get to know itself

and realize who my real self is

and be able to manifest the truth of who we are


l am the luckiest male person i have ever met

my father explained his rules to me

while you live in my house eating food i gathered

we do it my way

when you live in your house eating your food

you do it your way

i had no problem with that situation

and in time got tired of rules i didn't make

and moved on the what ever was next

i had no idea what that would be

and still don't

but am still here


after leaving home and feeling somewhat adventurish

(this computer hates my spelling but i don't care)

i wound up somewhat confused about what was going on here

and asked my father what is going one here

and what should i do


the lucky part of having that man as the father in the family

is him saying to me

i don't know boy

your going to have work that out for yourself


and i have been finding my way myself

with the support and assistance

of my companions along the way


i still don't really know how to be

so i just be myself as i can

and keep up with the flow of life as i can


in our time

so many have been

and are being

told what to do

and who to be

and our little world

is not a very pretty site

or sight

or place to be


and we all have to find our own way

after ingesting all those lies

and the polluted air

and the current nastiness of our time

lost

we all feel like a little girl lost in the woods

sometimes for a while

it's just part of growing up

life don't do lost

but sometimes people get confused

mostly by thinking some silly idea is true

times of change

these are times of change

cause life is forever changing

an eternal process of becoming


we humans have these tendencies

to cling to our ideas of our self

and seek only what we think we need

which is mostly what we think we want


sense we are seeking what we want

and not facing our self truthfully

we are wanting something old and out of date

instead of facing the new day of our life

we get frustrated and confused and usually angry

which is just self pity


wanting is a form of rejecting our now

and the reason we get lost

others

there ain't no others

what we are looking at

is just a little bit more of our self

and what we have done to our self

modern time

what i usually call

my current time with my self

usually don't turn out to be

what most people told me would be

if i did what they told me to be and do


that crap was no fun at all

and often very painful

laughing

what we laugh at and how we laugh

is a clue as to where we are with our self

and how we feel about life

illegal

those that promote only legal

are dividing we the people

into legal people and illegal people


those that praise those who obey the law

and punish those who don't obey the law

develop two different types of people

actually many different types of people

and the conflict in our little world continues to grow


that sure as hell ain't freedom

and i see very little peace


we are rarely permitted to just be who and how we are

and soon forget how to be who and how we are


we are all completely unique and one of a kind

which is rarely respected in our time


if we don't start paying attention to what we are actually doing here

and face who we actually are -  what we were born to be

how can we ever know peace

dependent needs

have been reviewing this life i sometimes call my life

and am pretty sure am going to have a lot to say about that situation

real life

for so many today

real life is what they are doing


but real life is about being your self


the children are not being permitted

sufficient time with their self

to efficiently integrate with their self


and the so called adult population

has not taken the time to observe the child

and recognized the nature which has just arrived here

naked and wet and still dazed by the experience of being born here


the lies and beliefs and propaganda of our time

and the hopes and dreams and frustrations of the so called parents

and the population of other humans

soon overwhelm the little being

usually to make some wierd adatptation to this situation

because they were not allowed to fully integrate with this new self to be for a while


and amid all this confusion

most are just guessing and hoping

and mostly hopelessly confused

and great chaos is upon the land

which originates within all these abandoned and abused children

want

the dumbest word i have heard so far

in this weird little world i call my life

cause i don't know what to call what i call my life


call is the clue

swimming

if you seek to swim

you better not resist the water

money

if i was using money

to avoid life

or to attack life

or avoid being myself

what would that say about me

and my relationship with my self


relationship is kind of a wierd word to me

most of what i have been told about that word

has been absolute bullshit

my life

random acts of romance

and all the other stuff

i stumbled over along the way

seeing

most people today that i see

don't see beyond the skin

or the fancy clothes

or the tattered rags

modern people

most people today

are hiding from their self

and they don't even know

what i just said


actually

what i just wrote on this blog thing

would be more accurate

getting rich

getting rich is far harder to survive

than getting poor


not too many in our time agree with that

a question

do you ever stop and look

what we are doing to ourselves and each other

and the creatures of the field

who are people too in their own way

and this little world we call earth


in my not so humble opinion

WE are a bunch of fuckups

and need to get in the game

as my elders once said to me


what if we are wrong

and wanting all the wrong things


seems to me we need to take a break

and be with our self

and confim we are really being our self

and not some wierd idea we picked up somewhere

doing

sometimes we get so involved

with what we are doing

we forget how to be who we are

and what we a doing

becomes just a habit

and what we are doing

becomes who we are


and that ain't always

who we actually are

avoid

life is much more difficult

if you seek to avoid your self


facing ones self

is where all the bonus points are


and if you try to cheat

the price gets higher


life is forever free

dollars

dollars are green

but you can't make salad out of them

if you are really hungry

they are just pieces of paper


paper is the clue


there is very little life in paper

paper is just around for a while

and not very nourishing to eat


it was designed

to get us to trade

our lives for some stuff

that we really didn't need

but we sure wanted


wanted is the clue


if you are truthful with your self

about what you want

life will be ok


if you lie to your self

life has a tendency

to become boring

and often painful


not much of a deal to me

usually pass on that crap

after all this time

dealing with this little adventure i call life


will go to bed now


maybe

cheating

one thing i have learned about life

there ain't no way to cheat life

the name of the game

the name of this game

is face your self


which ain't all that popular in our time


some have a cover story

some leave parts out


but there ain't no way to cheat

and know peace

in the game we are playing


we can accept who we are

and be the truth of our self

or we can hide or lie


there ain't no other options

despite what they tell you in class

thinking

what we think we are doing

may not be what we are actually doing


we humans sure do like to act

like we know what we are doing

has been my experience


act is the clue

truth

truth can be painful

for those raised on lies and propaganda

even if spoken softly

wanting

for the child

what it needs for a while


for the adult human in our time

a desire to escape

acceptance

pretty easy to accept those that accept you

how about those that don't

we humans

our manifestations are different

but our essence is the same

killing

if you kill another

you kill part of your self

if you hurt another

you hurt a part of your self

if you lie to another

you lie to part of your self


and this is not about morality

this is about reality


the actual reality of life

which actually does exist

which our current civilizations

appear oblivious to


so many lies

so much propaganda


we have been born into a factory

which we are are trained to serve


this is not service to life

this is being used by other humans


life is still an open option

if we survive having been made crazy

and forgetting who we are

and learning to do what we're told to do

instead of to be who we are

by people who don't care for us so much

and we don't usually care for them


it seems important to me

that we know our self personally

but few are being permitted the time


modern humans have their schedules

life has its order

which don't appear to have any common ground to me

in our time


common is usually looked down upon


maybe i'll go to bed now

middle class

kind of an insulting term

middle class

upper class

lower class

this was of thinking creates a psychological hierarchy

in the minds of people

and glorifies the upper class

which tends to look down on the lower class

as i have seen over the decades here

these terms divide the population

and keeps best of mans efforts concentrated among a few so called privileged people

who do most of the work


don't really enjoy saying it

but this is a form of slavery

which people must adapt to or starve


not a lot of freedom in that


mostly it bothers me because of what i see happening

to the people in this system

and all the conflict it is producing in the people

which becomes all this conflict in the world


life does have a natural order

we humans seem to have little respect for life

hoping

ain't hoping for much of nothing, sugar

just waiting to see what's next

questioning and rejecting

life on this plane

in our time

requires being with those that accept you

and those that choose to reject you

and just being your self


which didn't make much to me

at first glance


until i remembered

life is all that is


there ain't no is not


that crap is just delusional thinking

questioning

the first question could be

who am i


the second could be

why am i here


which exist within your self

and not without your self

dependent needs

what we would not be carrying around

if the elders of this tribe

actually knew what they we doing


need and wants

and hopes and dreams

and endless ambitions


the road to nowhere to be


being is what we are


in all this confusion

we just try to be

what we think we ought to be

or what we want to be

which is even worse

for our self


we are being

rejecting its self

and hoping or wanting to be

something else


which ain't actually an option

and the attempt is a real bummer

times of great conflict

in times of great conflict
like these that i see
it's hard to make judgement
like just what to be

confusion and chaos
will keep us uptight
that by itself
makes it hard to know right

perhaps if we slow down
and just clear our head
give up the ideas
that make us brain dead

cause when this one says this
and another says that
we settle the issue
with fist and with bat

most think they know something
but i think we don't
we outsmart ourselves
with ideas that won't

fit in with nature
which has it's own plan
which we disregard
because we now can

if we took the time
and gave life a look
it just might not be
as we read in some book

a mind that's not made up
and fused with belief
might find something more
and provide some relief

but if no one will face
that we just might be wrong
we may someday look up
and find our world gone


a little respect and consideration

might make a difference

if we knew what they meant

we have been raised on lies

those that were here before us


all i can say to that is

we all have to find our way

with very little support

from the people we are here with


and that isn't their fault


their fault was

not being who they actually were


and they paid the price for that


being is a gift

which hasn't been mentioned so much

while others told us what we were

and what to be


no one can tell us that

and we all have to find our way


the only true teaching

is a truthful presentation

which i have been exposed to

but not all that much in our time


here in the land of performances


life ain't a soap opera or a movie


looking for peace and happiness

outside our self

is a serious misunderstanding

on our part

which is our responsibility

an no other


sharing our truth

with our self

is a start

function

function means to me

be who you are

and do what you do


all the alternatives

are pretty scary to me

out of time

all of our efforts

all our hopes and wishes and dreams

will be out of time sooner or later

as all of our little human creations will


as will all of life's creations also


most of the human creations i see around me

seem to be well thought out

but not much of a celebration of life


most of this crap was done for personal gain and power

which ain't all that glorious a cause


life is a show off

if we are willing to see

and not hide and lie so much

learning how to be me

what i have been learning

for over 70 trips around this little sun

trying not to fall over all these trips


one thing i have learned

trying not to trip

is to stumble and fall


thinkers usually try something


awareness is not a product of thought

but most emotional disorders are

learning

learning is only achieved

by those willing to learn


wanting to learn

makes learning impossible

teaching

true teaching

is a truthful presentation

that thumping in our hands

i remember that day

justification

just another way

to avoid personal responsibility


which we so often seek

to claim for our own


there is the "i did that" crap

and the "i did not do that" crap


and those that just wondered

what just happened

and how to keep up with that crap


crap is generally considered waste

and not worthy of salvage

or salvation as so many call that crap


have used a lot of foul language tonight


not entirely sure why

but am pretty sure

all the lies are annoying me

living

it is very difficult to speak

about living life

when so many think

they already know how to live life


amid all this death and destruction and pain

change

i don't feel changed by this life

but certainly rearranged


such is the way of life

if we are willing to change

which is what life does

and forever remains the same

creative thinking

has led to this dreadful downfall of man kind


awareness is not a product of thought


and the thinking man

is not qualified to play god

with the human race

(which i call the human organism)

or the creatures of the field

or this little planet we were born on


i am particularly pissed and concerned

about how we treat the children

and about how they are responding to such treatment

in this land of self abuse

respect

respect is not something some one gives or pays another

that is bribery


respect is only real when for all Life

a comment on the human race

we humans

in the past few thousand years

have managed to turn our wonderful little world

into a pretty fucked up mess


and we are getting better at it every day


Life doesn't have to be like that

but we have to learn to respect Life

all Life

where ever we find Life

starting with our Self

hate

anger is an aggressive expression of self-pity

hate is passionate expression of self-pity

and a monstrous ego problem of control freaks

and pure poison to the self and our world

seeing

so many today see what they want to see

and don't see what they don't want to see

which is a recipe for blindness


so many today believe what they want to believe

and don't believe what they don't want to believe

which is a recipe for ignorance

life

most people seem to want life to get personal


but life is about everybody


about everyone


so life seems to me



i wasn't  offered a choice

and didn't feel like i needed one


all sounded like a lot more fun to me


and still does


yesterdays ideas were dead when they were born

love is based on what needs to be done


and i don't mean what you want life to be

i mean life being what life is

greed and selfishness

and a great plague in our time


those that serve life

do not control or enslave life


and life is all that actually exists

the ultimate self pity

and the source of vengeance

which i mentioned earlier

a very perverse expression

of personal gratification


these a not honorable callings

religions

and no fan of religions


these are groups of people

that require complete submission

to their idea of god


and there are so many ideas

about what to submit to


these are the exploiters and manipulators


which is an abuse of life


i don't know what anyone else should do


i don't know what i should do


i just be my self as i can

and keep up with life as i can


control of life is not my thing


i sure as hell ain't qualified for that


and i didn't find controlling my self

very much fun


religious people seem such a serious bunch

and not my thing at all

vengeance

am pretty sure vengeance

is the most insane word of all


the most selfish

the most greedy

and the most hateful


a lethal dose of self pity


not much fun over there

just a lot of perverse and painful

gratification


not much fun in that


unless you are really fucked up

as we called that stuff back in high school


where i first learned about this stuff

a quiet day

and i ain't being lazy

or bored


just savoring the moment

being is not a physical plane thing


being is your relationship with your self

which is correct

yet i am neither christian or muslim or jew

or any other religious organization


and i ain't selling nothing

precious few

still serve the plan
a voice inside
says we still can

return to that
which is us all
the spirit lives
i've heard it's call

in silence when
the mind is still
it's presence grows
and seems to fill

my heart and soul
with renewed knowing
almost like
life's hand is sowing

blessings which we
don't yet see
eternal love
for you and me

the ancients knew
of this great spirit
though modern man
has come to fear it

we seek today
to serve ourselves

heart it dwells
