perhaps the greatest curse of all

want is an affirmation of lack

which can only make life smaller

for those that choose to want

when denied what is wanted

we become mean and angry

and peace is not upon the land


our wants are preyed upon in our time

and we become victims of what is wanted

and those that provide them
