hoping

ain't hoping for much of nothing, sugar

just waiting to see what's next

questioning and rejecting

life on this plane

in our time

requires being with those that accept you

and those that choose to reject you

and just being your self


which didn't make much to me

at first glance


until i remembered

life is all that is


there ain't no is not


that crap is just delusional thinking

questioning

the first question could be

who am i


the second could be

why am i here


which exist within your self

and not without your self

dependent needs

what we would not be carrying around

if the elders of this tribe

actually knew what they we doing


need and wants

and hopes and dreams

and endless ambitions


the road to nowhere to be


being is what we are


in all this confusion

we just try to be

what we think we ought to be

or what we want to be

which is even worse

for our self


we are being

rejecting its self

and hoping or wanting to be

something else


which ain't actually an option

and the attempt is a real bummer

times of great conflict

in times of great conflict
like these that i see
it's hard to make judgement
like just what to be

confusion and chaos
will keep us uptight
that by itself
makes it hard to know right

perhaps if we slow down
and just clear our head
give up the ideas
that make us brain dead

cause when this one says this
and another says that
we settle the issue
with fist and with bat

most think they know something
but i think we don't
we outsmart ourselves
with ideas that won't

fit in with nature
which has it's own plan
which we disregard
because we now can

if we took the time
and gave life a look
it just might not be
as we read in some book

a mind that's not made up
and fused with belief
might find something more
and provide some relief

but if no one will face
that we just might be wrong
we may someday look up
and find our world gone


a little respect and consideration

might make a difference

if we knew what they meant

disapproval is the curse of our time

as is approval


we are lost and wandering

and don't have to be

in that situation with our self

unless we choose to be

in that situation


we do not have to choose

as so many have said

we can also let life choose

and be free

of that choosing crap

which i  never much cared for anyway

weaning

life is constantly weaning us

from what ever we think we need


what we actually are

is more than enough


what we think we are

and like to hope we are

or are afraid we are

is mostly bullshit

and not really relevant

to allow an other to deceive me

would be to do them a great injustice


and to deceive my self

an ever greater injustice to them

misunderstanding

we modern humans

may be caught up in

the greatest misunderstanding

of all time


we have been raised on lies

that were the misunderstandings of

those that were here before us


all i can say to that is

we all have to find our way

with very little support

from the people we are here with


and that isn't their fault


their fault was

not being who they actually were


and they paid the price for that


being is a gift

which hasn't been mentioned so much

while others told us what we were

and what to be


no one can tell us that

and we all have to find our way


the only true teaching

is a truthful presentation

which i have been exposed to

but not all that much in our time


here in the land of performances


life ain't a soap opera or a movie


looking for peace and happiness

outside our self

is a serious misunderstanding

on our part

which is our responsibility

an no other


sharing our truth

with our self

is a start

function

function means to me

be who you are

and do what you do


all the alternatives

are pretty scary to me

out of time

all of our efforts

all our hopes and wishes and dreams

will be out of time sooner or later

as all of our little human creations will


as will all of life's creations also


most of the human creations i see around me

seem to be well thought out

but not much of a celebration of life


most of this crap was done for personal gain and power

which ain't all that glorious a cause


life is a show off

if we are willing to see

and not hide and lie so much

learning how to be me

what i have been learning

for over 70 trips around this little sun

trying not to fall over all these trips


one thing i have learned

trying not to trip

is to stumble and fall


thinkers usually try something


awareness is not a product of thought

but most emotional disorders are

learning

learning is only achieved

by those willing to learn


wanting to learn

makes learning impossible

teaching

true teaching

is a truthful presentation

that thumping in our hands

i remember that day

justification

just another way

to avoid personal responsibility


which we so often seek

to claim for our own


there is the "i did that" crap

and the "i did not do that" crap


and those that just wondered

what just happened

and how to keep up with that crap


crap is generally considered waste

and not worthy of salvage

or salvation as so many call that crap


have used a lot of foul language tonight


not entirely sure why

but am pretty sure

all the lies are annoying me

living

it is very difficult to speak

about living life

when so many think

they already know how to live life


amid all this death and destruction and pain

change

i don't feel changed by this life

but certainly rearranged


such is the way of life

if we are willing to change

which is what life does

and forever remains the same

creative thinking

has led to this dreadful downfall of man kind


awareness is not a product of thought


and the thinking man

is not qualified to play god

with the human race

(which i call the human organism)

or the creatures of the field

or this little planet we were born on


i am particularly pissed and concerned

about how we treat the children

and about how they are responding to such treatment

in this land of self abuse
